The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) has announced a strong growth in apprenticeship numbers, according to Christopher Evans the Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Jobs and Workplace Relations.
There has been a 6.3 per cent increase in the number of Australians in apprenticeships and traineeships in the year to 31 December 2010.
Perhaps of greater significance: completion rates increased by 20.1 per cent in the December quarter, when compared against figures from the September quarter.
